RYLA North America is a fantastic opportunity for leadership training, fellowship, and networking, and, best of all, it is being held here in Washington, D. C.

The RYLA NA 2009 Program is an intense leadership training program that is designed to recognize, encourage, and further develop the leadership skills of 18-30 yr olds who have shown a potential for rendering important service to their local communities. Attendees will be Rotaractors, Prospective Rotaractors, RYLA Alumni, former Youth Study Exchange Participants, former Ambassadorial Scholars, former Interactors, and former Peace Scholars.

Activites include:
-Plenary and Breakout Sessions and Workshops
-Evening events at different embassies
-Keynote speakers
-Service project expo
-4th of July fireworks celebration
-Group runs and athletic activities

Volunteers help distribute food from a Salvation Army van that departs 1425 New York Ave. NW at 6:45pm and visits designated spots along a route that last about 1.5 hours. The van will drop you off at the nearest metro station after you have finished.

Bingo Night - Walter Reed

Join members of our sponsor Rotary Club for dinner and bingo with service men and women and their families at Walter Reed’s Mologne House. (6900 Georgia Ave. NW, Parking available). Dinner begins at 5pm and bingo begins at 6pm. Volunteers help organize bingo, hand out cards, assist participants, sit and chat, etc.

Advance sign-up is not required, but let Victoria know if you do attend so that your community service hours can be recorded.

This year Rotary International will be holding its 100th International Convention, which will be preceded by the Rotaract Pre-Convention, in Birmingham, England. This convention is chock full of leadership training, networking, fellowship with Rotaractors and Rotarians, and awesome social events.

INTERNATIONAL SPANISH LANGUAGE ALLIANCE OF ARGENTINA, is pleased to announce 10 scholarships of Spanish Cultural immersion for students and recently graduated from HIGH SCHOOLS,  COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES.  *Scholarship does not include air ticket, transfer, accommodation and meals.
